The real impact of your contributions

$500,000 is more than just a number. It's 50 to 60 critically ill children who will experience a moment that no treatment can replace.

What a wish
truly changes

Beyond the numbers, these are families who find a little light during times marked by illness.

A smiling child with their stuffed animal, Make-A-Wish Canada

Make-A-Wish Canada

Make-A-Wish Canada allows critically ill children, aged 3 to 17, to experience a moment that goes beyond illness: meeting their idol, travelling, becoming someone they admire, or simply living something they never thought possible.

These wishes have a real impact. They bring light during times marked by treatments, hospital stays and uncertainty. They restore momentum where everything sometimes seems to have come to a halt.

Behind every wish there is a child, but also an entire family going through a period marked by waiting. Supporting the foundation means giving these families a moment that no treatment can replace.

What does
a wish look like?

Every wish is carefully designed around the child's unique personality and interests. They are all one of a kind, but they generally fall into one of these five categories.

Have something

25.4%

A piece of equipment, an object or an experience that unlocks a passion, video games, piano, a computer.

Meet someone

3.2%

See their favourite athlete, musician, YouTuber or sports team in person, the idol who keeps them going through treatment.

Become someone

0.9%

Step into the job they dream of doing one day, firefighter for a day, veterinarian, star chef.

Give back in turn

0.3%

Use their wish to help others, often a loved one or a cause close to their heart.

How donations
are used

No ambiguity: sponsorships cover the expedition, and public donations go entirely to the foundation.

$500,000

100% to Make-A-Wish Canada. Every dollar donated goes directly toward granting the wish of a critically ill child. No portion covers the expedition.

100%

Fully cover the expedition: equipment, flights, accommodation, guides, porters, logistics, medical support. No personal profit generated.

Redistribution commitment

At the end of the project on October 31, 2026, any surplus from sponsorships, after all expedition-related expenses, will be given in full to Make-A-Wish Canada.

50 to 60 wishes of
critically ill children

Reaching $500,000 means transforming the reality of 50 to 60 Canadian families by restoring hope during especially difficult times.

50–60
wishes granted

Thanks to $500,000, critically ill children will be able to live a wish bigger than their illness. Together, we turn every contribution into a moment that marks a life.

3–17

a wish closer
