About the project

"Giving children back the right to dream."

Mount Kilimanjaro at daybreak, surrounded by clouds and savanna acacia trees

A story that became a mission

La Montée de l'Espoir was born from the story of its founder, Samuel Rodrigue. Diagnosed at 22 with a rare disease, the 144th documented case in the world, he went through years marked by hospital stays, pain and dreams put on hold.

Over time, one conviction took hold: we have to give meaning to what we go through. It was with this in mind that La Montée de l'Espoir came to life.

"In the darkness of illness, hope becomes a light. La Montée de l'Espoir wants to carry that light higher than the mountain."

This project has become far more than a climb up Kilimanjaro. It is a symbol of resilience. A symbol of courage. A symbol of hope. A reminder that even in the darkest times, it is possible to give meaning back to what we live through.

Our values

Every decision is guided by principles that are simple, yet non-negotiable.

Humanity

Behind every donation, every step, there is a story, a family, a child. We never lose sight of who we are moving forward for.

Resilience

On the mountain as in the face of illness, we move forward one step at a time. Carried by something greater than ourselves, even when it's hard.

Impact

Every dollar becomes something real. A dream lived. A life touched. That's how we measure our climb.
